COVID-19 UPDATE

Church Update

As we navigate this season together it is our desire to walk in both faith and wisdom as a church family. For the foreseeable future we will continue to meet on Sundays at 10am at San Marcos Academy as well as online via YouTube and Facebook Live.

Updated COVID-19 Protocol

As of 3/10/21 Govern Abbott lifted the statewide mask mandate. Though churches have had the privilege of determining their own mask and safety protocol independent of government mandates, we have believed it wise to participate with the Governor’s policy out of honor for both his authority and our neighbor. The change in state policy is not a signal that the pandemic is over but a return of personal choice and a sign that the conditions are improving.

As a result we are altering our protocol.
Masks are now optional on a Sunday morning.
We are creating a “mask only” section on the far right (stage left) of the auditorium for those who are continuing to wear masks. We are still requiring volunteers to wears masks when greeting and ushering for the foreseeable future. All seating will continue to be socially distanced. If you are at high risk of complications from Covid-19 we ask that you consider remaining at home and joining us online.

We appreciate both your prayer and participation in this season! It’s our desire that we continue to stand firmly in faith and love for our neighbor. Gratefully, we have not had any Covid-19 deaths in Sozo, nor have we had any outbreaks as a result of our gatherings. We are continuing to pray for God’s protection on our church family in this season.

We request that those who have been recently ill, had symptoms of illness in the last 72hours, or are at increased risk of complications from illness not to attend in person but instead join us online.
